OPPO has officially released the global version of its latest Android-based operating system, ColorOS 13.
Now available to users around the world, it will be one of the first operating systems based on the newly released Android 13 and includes a number of key features of Android 13 while introducing Aquamorphic Design with a user-friendly user interface.
OPPO says the new system is also supported by OPPO’s latest technological innovations, including a number of new features for smartly connecting multiple devices that strive to provide smarter experiences.
In addition to artistic color changes, the new system includes a new set of fonts to improve readability of system text in any language.
The system also brings new experiences by integrating various Aquamorphic Effects into the system animations, user interface and Quantum Animation Engine. This is done using novel behavior prediction based on users’ review intentions.
A new series of Always-On Display titled “Homeland” was also introduced, depicting powerful scenes of wild animals in nature. Always-On Display animations will begin to reveal changes in animal environments based on daily temperature changes to make users think more deeply about climate change.
ColorOS 13 also introduces the Dynamic Computing Engine, OPPO’s system-level technical solutions developed in-house. They say it will bring a smoother and more stable system and all-round improvements to the user experience.
The engine was also noted to bring two major improvements to ColorOS 13, including longer battery life and the ability to keep more apps open in the background.
The Smart Always-On Display2 in ColorOS 13 can now also display information related to music and food delivery apps for better accessibility and functionality. OPPO says they have partnered with software and service providers, including Bitmoji and Spotify, to deliver a wide range of experiences through the Smart Always-On Display.
In line with new trends around hybrid work, OPPO says it has also developed the industry’s first smartphone meeting assistant designed specifically for online meetings. This new technology can automatically prioritize wireless data packets and provide a more stable connection during online meetings.
OPPO says the technology will also simplify banner notifications to minimize distractions, while allowing users to add an OPPO Notes4 shortcut that helps record meeting minutes using Notes in a small pop-up window.
Multi-screen Connect now also supports better connectivity between smartphone and OPPO Pad Air and between smartphone and PC. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and other security features are also available to ensure better security results.
As part of the global rollout of ColorOS 13, OPPO plans to update nearly 35 smartphone models within a year, covering more than 60 countries and regions and up to 160 million users.
