However, each region had a set number of video games as Nintendo had to limit the number for many reasons back then. Still, regions like North America received over 296 games to choose from, a number that was huge at the time of release.

A challenge appeared on the internet asking players from the North American region to complete all N64 games released. The winner would have to win all 296 titles before being crowned king.

While the challenge seemed impossible to some, the Trois-Rivières resident had other plans. He successfully completed all the games, showed exclusive footage on Twitch and reserved the title for himself. With the player tag “AceGamerSam”, the streamer completed every single game, despite its difficulty.

Recently, an avid Nintendo gamer completed one of the Nintendo 64 community’s toughest challenges. He surpassed the title king of the N64 by completing all 296 games released for the title.

To give a little history of AceGamerSam, he started his twitch channel six years ago and started it with Super Mario 64. It was his first ever console video game that helped him understand the world of streaming and its secrets.

Later, Sam created various ideas involving his audience to maintain the hype. But as time went on, he decided to go on a Nintendo 64 adventure and try to set a new record. Sam faced many obstacles along his journey with the main one being about completing the game.

For example, after killing the last boss/opponent, some people confirm their victory, unfortunately, game over. However, others are trying to figure out all possible ways to get a showdown because they feel the game is not over.

A path of battles between the best and the worst

Sam faced a similar problem during The Legend Of Zelda series as there were constant questions about its completion. But the streamer paid little attention to this and continued his search as he had a long way to go.

Over time, he cracked games left and right, realizing that he had beaten over 70 of them. Sam also revealed the names of his favorites and least favorites, letting fans know his obstacles. While he adored Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark and Diddy Kong Racing, he felt that Aidyn Chronicles could be much better.

“Super Mario 64. It was important to me because it closed. It’s the first 3D game I played and played again when I was 8 or 9 years old. It accompanied me in my youth when I went to play with my friends. It’s a form of comfort for me to come back to this game and play.” Sam said talking about the last game of challenge 296.

With that being said, Sam ended up talking about being more of a collector than a hardcore gamer. He loved collecting things related to Nintendo as he was a die-hard fan of the Japanese giant.
