Frontier Developments’ F1 Manager 2022 is getting a number of hotfixes in its v1.9 update, including improved AI behavior.
F1 Manager 2022 has received another update from developer Frontier Developments, bringing the game up to version 1.9 with a set of minor hotfixes for PC (updates for PlayStation and Xbox will follow).
Six weeks after its release, the Formula 1 driving simulator has already received several major revisions. For example, the v1.8 update significantly addressed issues with tire degradation – meaning a one-stop strategy is no longer the fastest way to finish each race.
However, in version 1.9, the developer improved the way cars burn fuel, minimizing the chances of players and AI running dry in the middle of a race.
AI opponents are also now less likely to pit in adverse conditions, an issue that has led to some immersive moments. After all, the wet and medium tires of the F1 manager can withstand the demanding conditions of Grand Prix races.
Another minor issue regarding the game’s UI on ultrawide monitors has also been fixed. Selecting the option to “enable widescreen UI during practice” resulted in players being unable to click on pop-ups mid-race, causing them to miss significant events such as crashes, pit stops, and weather changes.
