‘Twitch Not Happy’: Asmongold Reveals Twitch Doesn’t Appreciate Streaming On His Alternative Channel

Popular Twitch streamer Zack “Asmongold” has revealed that Twitch is unhappy with him for streaming on his alternate channel.

The MMO veteran has been streaming on his secondary Twitch channel called Zackrawrr for several months now. Since it’s not his main channel, the Amazon platform couldn’t monetize it (because he’s not a partner).

In a recent live stream, Asmongold told his audience that he’s reportedly heard higher-ups on Twitch have even voiced their displeasure:

“I heard that Twitch is not really happy with me streaming on this account and not making any money.”

“I want to go back to launch Dragonflight”: Asmongold reveals when he wants to return to his main Twitch channel

A veteran streamer on the platform, Asmongold is very popular in MMORPG circles, having spent thousands of hours on World of Warcraft and other similar titles.

Over the past few months, the OTK founder has been streaming frequently on his alternative Twitch channel. As a result, he has gained over a million followers despite not being a partner.

However, during his last live broadcast, Asmongold revealed that he would like to return to his main channel to launch the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion on November 28, 2022.

He said:

“I know a lot of people are asking when I’m going back to the mainstream etc. I want to go back to launch Dragonflight, yes. I want to go back.”

He explained that he will maintain his happy and go-lucky attitude even if he goes back, stating:

“I think if I go back to mainstream streaming again, I literally won’t give it a shot. I’ll just stream for fun. Like here, but I’ll get paid. that would be cool, wouldn’t it?”

The streamer also claimed that since Zackrawrr is not monetized, Twitch is losing a lot of money. Although it has an average viewership of around 15,000 concurrent viewers (according to TwitchTracker), the channel apparently does not make money because it is not affiliate.

He explained:

“Because if I’m not making any money, that means Twitch is losing hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

In September, the Twitch star highlighted the estimated amount of money the Amazon-owned platform allegedly lost due to his decision to stream on Zackrawrr:

“I’m costing Twitch $158,750 this month. Please don’t ban me again. Please don’t ban me because they don’t show ads on this channel, they don’t make any partial revenue. This channel is completely canceled. . Man!”
